Special Issues

Special Issues

A Special Issue is a collection of articles focused on a specific, timely topic within the scope of the journal, coordinated by one or more Guest Editors. Special Issues bring together leading research on a theme and give it greater visibility.

Open for proposals. The journal is currently accepting proposals for Special Issues on topics in the flora, vegetation, systematics, ecology and conservation of Central Asia.

Propose a Special Issue

Qualified researchers are invited to propose and lead a Special Issue. A proposal should include:

  • A working title and a short description of the scope;
  • The Guest Editor(s) and their affiliations;
  • A tentative list of potential contributors or topics;
  • A proposed timeline.

Please send proposals to the editorial office at editor@pdca.uz.

Guest Editor responsibilities

Guest Editors define the scope, invite and encourage submissions, ensure rigorous double-blind peer review together with the editorial office, and help promote the completed Special Issue. All articles undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process and are published Open Access with a registered DOI.
