Peer Review Process
Peer Review Process
All research articles submitted to Plant Diversity of Central Asia undergo rigorous double-blind peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential from one another.
Workflow
- Initial check. The editorial office verifies scope, formatting and ethical compliance, and screens for plagiarism.
- Editor assignment. A handling editor is assigned and invites at least two independent expert reviewers.
- Review. Reviewers assess originality, methodology, significance and clarity, and recommend: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
- Decision. The editor makes a decision based on the reviews.
- Revision. Authors respond to comments; revised manuscripts may be re-reviewed.
- Production. Accepted articles are copyedited, typeset, assigned a DOI and published Open Access.
The typical time to first decision is 4–8 weeks. Editors do not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
