Peer Review Process

All research articles submitted to Plant Diversity of Central Asia undergo rigorous double-blind peer review, in which the identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential from one another.

Workflow

1. Initial check. The editorial office verifies scope, formatting and ethical compliance, and screens for plagiarism.
2. Editor assignment. A handling editor is assigned and invites at least two independent expert reviewers.
3. Review. Reviewers assess originality, methodology, significance and clarity, and recommend: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.
4. Decision. The editor makes a decision based on the reviews.
5. Revision. Authors respond to comments; revised manuscripts may be re-reviewed.
6. Production. Accepted articles are copyedited, typeset, assigned a DOI and published Open Access.

The typical time to first decision is 4–8 weeks. Editors do not handle manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest.
