Plant Diversity of Central Asia is committed to maximising the discoverability and long-term availability of the research it publishes through rigorous metadata standards, indexing and digital preservation.
Metadata and discovery services
- Crossref — every article is assigned a registered DOI under the prefix 10.54981, providing a permanent, citable link.
- Google Scholar — articles expose Highwire Press and Dublin Core metadata tags for full-text indexing.
- OAI-PMH — the journal exposes an Open Archives Initiative interface, allowing metadata to be harvested by aggregators and repositories worldwide.
- Dublin Core and structured metadata are embedded in every article page.
Abstracting and indexing databases
The editorial board is actively preparing applications to leading international abstracting and indexing databases, including Scopus and Web of Science (Clarivate). Inclusion requires a consistent publication record over several years; the journal is building this record while meeting the technical and editorial criteria these databases require.
Digital preservation
Content is preserved for the long term through the PKP Preservation Network and persistent DOIs, ensuring that published articles remain permanently accessible and citable.
