Editorial Policies

The following policies govern the editorial process of Plant Diversity of Central Asia and complement our Publication Ethics and Peer Review Process pages.

Peer review

All research articles undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. Editorial decisions are based solely on the scientific quality, originality and relevance of the work.

Authorship and contributions

Authorship is reserved for those who have made a substantial contribution to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the study. All authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to be accountable for the work. Changes to authorship after submission require the written agreement of all authors.

Conflicts of interest

Authors, reviewers and editors must declare any financial or personal relationships that could be perceived as influencing the work. Editors do not handle manuscripts in which they have a competing interest.

Data and materials

Authors are encouraged to make the data underlying their findings available and to deposit new taxa, voucher specimens and sequence data in recognised repositories and herbaria, with accession numbers cited in the article.

Corrections, retractions and appeals

The journal publishes corrections for significant errors and, where necessary, retractions following COPE guidelines. Authors may appeal editorial decisions by contacting the editorial office with a detailed, point-by-point response.

Advertising and editorial independence

Editorial decisions are never influenced by advertising, reprint income or commercial considerations. The journal maintains full editorial independence.
