Open Access & no publication fees

Plant Diversity of Central Asia operates as a Diamond (Platinum) Open Access journal: it is free both for authors to publish and for readers to access.

The journal is supported by the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. As a result, authors pay no submission fees, no article processing charges (APCs), and no charges for colour figures or supplementary materials. There are no hidden costs at any stage of the publication process.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) licence. Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant the journal the right of first publication. Readers anywhere in the world may freely read, download, copy, distribute and build upon the articles, provided the original work is properly cited.

This model widens the readership and impact of the research we publish, supports authors who do not have funds to pay publication charges, and keeps scientific knowledge about the plant diversity of Central Asia openly available to everyone.
