About the Journal

Plant Diversity of Central Asia (PDCA) is an international, peer-reviewed, Open Access journal published by the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The journal is dedicated to the study, documentation and conservation of the rich and unique plant life of Central Asia and adjacent territories — one of the world’s most floristically important and least documented regions.

PDCA publishes original research articles, comprehensive reviews and short communications covering plant systematics and taxonomy, floristics, geobotany, vegetation science, ecology, phytogeography, ethnobotany and the conservation of plant diversity. To serve both regional and international communities, manuscripts are accepted in English, Uzbek and Russian, with English metadata required for all articles.

The journal is committed to the highest standards of scholarly publishing: transparent double-blind peer review, a registered Crossref DOI for every article (prefix 10.54981), full Open Access under a CC BY 4.0 licence, adherence to COPE publication-ethics guidelines, and long-term digital preservation. Publication is free of charge for all authors (Diamond Open Access).

ISSN: 2181-2403 (online) · 2181-239X (print). We invite botanists, ecologists and conservationists from around the world to submit their work and to join our community of authors and reviewers.
