Plant Diversity of Central Asia is published by the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The journal was established to provide an international, peer-reviewed, Open Access platform for research on the rich and unique plant diversity of Central Asia — a region of exceptional botanical importance spanning deserts, steppes, wetlands and mountain systems.

The journal publishes original research, reviews and short communications in English, Uzbek and Russian, and is committed to the highest standards of scholarly publishing, including registered DOIs, transparent peer review and full open access.
